Set in<span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">\u00a0prominent corner premises on Portland Place,<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><strong>Graystone<span style=\"font-style: inherit;\">\u00a0Gallery <\/span><\/strong><span style=\"font-style: inherit;\">enjoys a <span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">location in\u00a0<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-style: inherit;\">one of the most vibrant and artistic pockets of\u00a0<\/span>Edinburgh<span style=\"font-style: inherit;\">.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-style: inherit;\">Its o<\/span>pening exhibition, <em>Water of Leith, Water of Life,<\/em>\u00a0celebrates the Water of Leith river and the coastline<span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">, showing<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">\u00a0how Scotland is defined as much by water as by land: fifteen contemporary Scottish artists tell stories of the docks, the coastline, inland waterways and urban maritime architecture through their work.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Graystone Gallery was founded by Rob and Lesley Briggs, who have long dreamt of opening an art gallery to present a rolling exhibition programme of carefully-curated artwork.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0They will be\u00a0<\/span>working with established and emerging local and Scottish artists, many of whom will be familiar to <em>Artmag.co.uk<\/em> viewers, such as\u00a0Gary Anderson, Georgina Bown, Jason Cordingley, Wendy Davidson, Lindsay Dudley, Lucy Jones, Gill Knight, Alan Liversedge, Euan McGregor, Georgina Parkins, Clive Ramage, Allan J Robertson, Arran Ross, Anne Skinner, Damian Tremlett.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A new art gallery is\u00a0opening\u00a0its doors on Portland Place in Leith.
